Stupid 700R4 question, need quick answer
Got a rebuilt 700R4 I'm going to put in the truck this weekend. I had planned to install a new cooler (and I have it) but I have so much other crap to do I don't know if I'll have time to install it (need to get lines, mount it, and such) so I may just hook it straight to the radiator until I can mess with it. Is hooking up the lines as simple as bottom to bottom and top to top? (fittings on radiator and tranny)
I have vettevet's diagram he posted (thanks bud) but its for the cooler.

It flows into the bottom conection for tank cooler and out of top one
and back to tranny. LockDoc

A little confused So bottom connection on tranny goes to bottom connection on radiator and top radiator connection goes to top tranny connection???

Look closer at the diagram. It shows the connection to the radiator and the cooler both. Bottom (red) line goes into the bottom of the radiator and out the top to the cooler then out the top of the cooler (blue) back to the transmission. Just leave the cooler out of the loop. So you have (red)into the bottom of the radiator and (blue) out of the top and back to the tranny.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking, but my old tranny blew after 6K (its a 'yard tranny that had 80 or so K on it when I got it) and I want to make sure I do everything right on the new one. I got BO kits too for the OD and TV cable.

Be sure to flush out the trans cooler to make sure there aren't any funkies from your old trans. Most rebuilders won't warranty the new trans unless you flush the cooler. You can just use carb cleaner and compressed air.
