292/250 Clutch Q?
Do both I6s share the same flywheel/clutch assemblies? For that matter, how about the automatics.Do they share the same flex-plate/tq converter assemblies?

Re: 292/250 Clutch Q?
Not sure about the 250/230s but the 292 uses an 11" clutch like the SBCs.

Re: 292/250 Clutch Q?
Should be the same. It's all somewhat interchangeable. 10.5" or 11". The key thing is making sure that you use the matching diameter flywheel and clutch assembly. Then you have got to come up with a matching starter. Most of our trucks had a 10.5" or 11" 168 tooth (large) flywheel. You can also use a 153 tooth (smaller diameter) flywheel but have to match it up with the appropriate starter and clutch. The bolt pattern on the back of the crank and the bell housings are, for the most part, the same as on a small block. Kind of mix and match.

Re: 292/250 Clutch Q?
I put a 12" in mine(250) from a 454............Fit without any problems. We had smaller ones behind our other inliners in half tons and they didn't hold up.

Re: 292/250 Clutch Q?
I have my eye on a 292 and was wundering if I could use what I had to hook it up.The truck has a 250.But,I should go beefier if the 250 has the 11".
