I'm Baaack!
Approx 1 year ago I sold my 67 Panel, sold our recently remodeled house and moved to the Phili, PA area from Lexington, KY...whew...what a change! Debt free and lovin it! I can now return to the fold as I just purchased on Evilbay a 71 C-20 Longhorn! Rootbeer in color, 350, Auto, Factory A/C! Cannot wait to see it in person! I am headed to the midwest next weekend to check it out. Will be looking for parts, I.E rims, tailgate, bumpers etc.
Been member of the board for quite a while, see there are some changes, most of which I like a lot. Looks like I better be sending in some $ to the powers that be..not a problem, worth every penny, great board. Shout out to Tim at Christains Classics, still wearing the shirt! I'll keep y'all posted on the progress. I guess my pics are too big to post...still havn't fixed that have they... I guess I'll work on that.. Later, Wild

Re: I'm Baaack!
Congrats on the new ride! I agree on the "worth every penny" thing. I'm still a newbie but it didn't take long before I got more than my moneys worth of info here. Great board & good folk.

Re: I'm Baaack!
Woah... a blast from the past, welcome back! Lots of chainges, and 99.9% of them are for the better.
And you came back as a longhorn owner too... can't beat that. I went by longhornmail back in the day...can't remember when you left us. Nice int there! A cheyenne 20... not a whole bunch of them made... esp on Longhorns! sweeeeeeeeet!!! no wonder it's so nice; I'll bet a punch in the gut that a carefull job with a buffer and some polish would make this sucker look GOOD. Re: I'm Baaack!
Thanks guys, great to be back! Thanks for the replies and for posting the pics. I am so pumped to see it! Jim, my wife works in Philly for the airlines, we live down in Wilmington, DE. Tim, just F.Y.I., I guess the guy I sold my Panel to in Lexington got thrown in jail for drugs a few months after buying it, truck is probably still around, keep your eyes open for it for me?
Quick question for anyone that knows.. the rims on the Cheyenne ..those are those split rims aren't they? Tubes and all? So to justify it to my wife..I do NEED to buy new rims too...right?

Re: I'm Baaack!
Those are not split rims... but she doesn't need to know that.
i would recomend getting 16 inch rims... once you price 16.5's and see the limited selection, you'll know why. |

Re: I'm Baaack!
well, remember, that is an 8 lugger.... the wheels you mention would like your signiture on divorce papers.
BUT... I have discovered that is the absolute best paper to put your name on. |
