I remember seeing a Blazer with fiberglass covers where the doors were like they make for early broncos, back when I was in college (in the late 80's/early 90's). I can't tell if thats what this rig has or if they are modified doors, but they are kinda cool.

Can't tell for sure how those exact ones are done,but it can be done fairly easily with a scrap door - preferably one damaged beyond "normal" use. You simply gut the door interior, trace out the opening profile, cut the door skin (inner & outer) and weld in flat stock curved and trimmed to fit the new opening. You will likely want to reskin the inteior panel to smooth the remaining areas and you could either mount them permanently or modify the latch mechanisms (interior and exterior handle won't be there now) to keep the door functionality.

I've seen this done with decent results on a Scout II to replicate the SS option available at the end of the Scout's run.

Those aren't doors, it's just body work.

One way to deal with firewall/tub flex, I guess.

I`ve liked this idea as a practicle off road mod.I don`t think molding them in will hold up if used for off road,though.I think Kurt should do this before he shoots that fuschia

The more I look at that photo, the more it looks like cut doors welded and smoothed. It would be interesting if it were more of an off roader. That looks like a fairly nice ride for a perminent modification like that, especially since it is in the rainy Pacific Northwest.

Looks like a blazer that was here in town a few years ago. Looks like you would have to be pretty skinny to fit through that door..

I have also seen people use tubing to make doors that have that shape. They used the stock style hinges and latch mech, easy to get in and out plus much more visibility when rock climbing

That looks like a blazer that was for sale at Kompact Kar Korner last year, If so they are definatly cut down stock doors.
