Talk to 7T7 about his truck. He has Baer brakes front and rear. Here's a thread showing his rear suspension....Look here

I gotta tell ya....It's been rough around here without the search lately.

86LSS1 has Baer on his truck also, but he may have a Mustang II set up on his if I can remember correctly.

Anywho, I'll get out to the shop tonight and post some pics here of my front set up.
I'll try and get some good close-ups for ya.

Thanks 7T7!

One problem no search creates is increased messages repeating the same old thing. Hopefully it comes back soon.

Looking forward to pics!

OK! Busy night last night.
A little secret.....TLC's Overhaulin is in town! (No I wasn't the lucky SOB)
More on that later.
Here are a few shots of the brakes and how they machine the spindles and add a small bracket to move the caliper out.
If I get time this week I'll pull one of the rotors and take a shot of the hub.

Frank,
I can't tell exactly what Baer modified on the spindle. Is it just the area I have circled so the mounting plate clears, or is there more too it that I don't see?

Actually it's this whole area here.
They cut off the original caliper mounting horns, and then machined flat surfaces on the front and back of the spindle so they can bolt the gold bracket you see there onto the spindle.

Oooooh! Got ya now. I could see the horns had been cut off, but dididn't realize that the flat area was something Baer did.

So as far as I can tell there is really no reason they couldn't do that same mod to my 3" spindles. Hmmmm? Interesting info. I guess I need to see what Wilwood has to say too.

Re: Baer front brakes?

Reckon what it would cost to have my dropped spindles sent to baer and have them machined and buy their hub and rotor. I wonder if you did this could you use a stock c5 caliper and mounting basket? If you could there would be some money saved here.

bear will not sell pieces or parts induvidually.... with the exception of lines,calipers,rotors... WILL NOT sell hubs, brackets,or spindles (thats why you get a life time warrenty, send in the broke part and get a new one)
any way you can get the dimentions off the gold bracket?
