thinking about changing to oak wood bed floor ??
I am an old 67 to 72 truck guy but about 15 year's ago I quit fooling with them for several reasons , no part's were available then like they are now the truck's rotted too bad here where I live ,, anyway with my tenn 67 short fleetside I am thinking about changing from the metal to an oak wood bed floor , this is not a how to question I've had 10 wood floor beds and 10 metal floor beds and know how to do it and what it takes but I am out of the loop on this stuff and need to know how much a almost rust free metal bed floor is worth ?? and also do you think anyone would trade me all the supports and front bed panel and rear bottom bed panel for the metal ??
the metal bed floor has super clean supports looks great under the bottom it has a few pin holes or rust in the ribbed floor about two inches in size near the tailgate on the drivers side other than that it looks great but now it has several dents , looking for opinions here thank's a lot , if I decide to do this I may ebay the bed floor if I can't just trade it ,, Last edited by 19673ontree; 10-06-2006 at 04:50 PM. |
