Coil Spring replacement
My truck has the "heavy-duty" factory rear leaf springs that make it look odd, it leans forward a tad too much. So I was thinking about putting some C-20 coil springs in the front. Anyone know if this will work, and if it will, anyone have any good pointers on doing it?
Also, if I do this, am I going to need to new shocks? Thanks guys, |

Re: Coil Spring replacement
Yes HD coil springs will fit, I would get them from Moog or TRW.

Re: Coil Spring replacement
like mylil said, yes they will work.. and it should level your truck out.. atleast more than it is now. New shocks shouldnt be needed...

Re: Coil Spring replacement
Yes, they'll work. You'll most likely need a coil spring compressor to get the taller 3/4 ton spring installed.

Re: Coil Spring replacement
Wish you were a little closer to Bryan-College Station , Tx. I have a pair of the heavy duty springs that I removed since it set my truck up too high . Frank

Re: Coil Spring replacement
Actually I'm not there but my grandparents house is on the north side of town. North of loop 304, on 287 (also called 4th street), there's a place called Doc's BBQ with a gas station. Their house is right across the street. I talked to them this weekend, and you can just drop them at the door there. I appreciate it a ton... email me at iliveformyking @ hotmail.com if you've got any questions, Thanks

Re: Coil Spring replacement
I dropped the coils off today while I was in Crockett . Have fun and post some before and after pics for us . I am guessing they will lift it about 3 inches . Frank

Re: Coil Spring replacement
That is great, thanks Frank!
I'll be sure to post some pics on here soon too - apparently yahoo changed around their appearance and deleted about half of my pictures. Gotta re-upload them all again... Thanks again! |
