any body use drop leaf springs?

Hey, newbie here. I have been following this site for a year now and I'm finally getting close to dropping my truck. My truck currently leans to the passenger side, so as part of my drop I wanted to replace the springs. I will use 2 1/2" spindles and 1 1/2" coils in the front. But I was thinking of using lowing springs in the rear. Western Chassis sells a 4/6 kit with these. Is this worth it? everyone else seems to just use a flip kit? If any one has tried it, would you recommend it? or should I just flip and see if me truck still leans? I don't ever plan on hauling any loads. Sorry if this is to wordy, just trying to include everything.
Thanks for any advice

Yeah, flip kits are popular. They are convenient and relatively less inexpensive. A few have used lowering springs only to resort to a flip kit in the end. With a flip kit, you won't have to mess with the shackles or hangers to get the 6" drop.

You could get under the truck and measure the clearance between the axle and the frame rail on both sides. If they're the same, you can go with a flip kit without replacing the springs. If not, you can still go with a flip kit and add a spacer to make up for the difference.

Re: any body use drop leaf springs?

I have the WC drop leaves. I have had no problems with them, but I only wanted a 4 inch rear drop.

I think if I were in your situation I would want to be sure of the reason for the lean before making any decisions. Make the measurements boxrodz recommended and go from there.

I agree, find out why you are leaning. I

I have Chisholm rear 6" dropped springs, that I had custom built. The truck won't ever carry anything though, since he built them as we discussed so it would handle not haul.
