I know this has been talked about but was wondering a couple specific things.

I am going to relocate my tank from behind the seat to simply gain more room and get the ugly filler neck moved. My ??? are what will work and be the coolest. I will have a fuel injected motor so I know I will need a return line and a tank with an intank fuel pump would be nice. What fits???

Can I rob a 88-up saddle tank and mount inside the frame or do I have to go the fuel cell route, and if that is the case is it alright to run poly tanks with fuel injection??

Oh ya, this is for my 72 4x4 conversion project.

I think one of the cheapest/simplest solutions would be to buy a complete blazer tank kit (around $250 for tank/straps/sending unit) and buy an external fuel pump and mount it on the frame. Just my opinion, I think the fuel cells cost too much, but they may be a better fit and tuck under the frame more, but since you have a 4x4 that probably won't matter.

I am looking for something clean, how far do the blazer tanks hang down if mounted fairly tight to the bottom of the bed.

This is a 31 gallon Blazer tank with skid plate. With the bumper I have you can hardly notice the tank at all.

Mudder, What year tank is that?? Do you have to have the body lift for it to fit?

Can the sidemarker light filler be done on a fleetside bed w/o a body lift?

http://www.rockvalleyantiqueautoparts.com/ndex.htm sets up factory tanks for EFI use for Street and Performance. You might can get them to set you one up based on the Blazer relocation setup. If you go this route, I would see if they would set it up with the LS base non return pump setup. I have no idea what this costs though.

That tank came from an 85 Blazer. I bought a newer tank one time but it wouldn't work with my sender. The new tank was for FI. My sender would not go into the FI tank. The body lift was mainly used to get my body lines straight. That is a 77 frame. It could have been set a little lower but it did help with plenty of clearence for the fuel tank fill tube (hose).

I am looking into a tank from fuelcellguy or ECE. Do you have to remove the bed for this install? If so, anyone have a how to? Looking to do this in the next month and need to figure out if I can tackle it alone or take it to a shop. Then, I must find a shop.

I am getting the Blazer kit from CPP, it's $170 with everything. Not the cleanest, but the easiest and cheapest for sure.

I am using a Buell gas cap as a fuel filler mounted on the side of the bed.
