Aftermarket Fenders & Radiator Support

What kind of experience have you guys had with the aftermarket (Goodmark, crash parts, etc.) fenders and radiator supports for the 81-87 Chevy Trucks?

I just bought a new dual headlight radiator support and it seems as if it is pretty flimsy. I dont know if it is close to the original gauge metal used by GM or not. But if it works and doesnt bend easy, then I guess its okay.

I am needing a new RH fender and wanted to know how good the repro fenders were for the these Trucks.

Once it is bolted up it will be stronger than it is now. They fit.....well sometimes good sometimes bad.
For a daily driver they will funcional but probably need to be worked to fit like factory

Re: Aftermarket Fenders & Radiator Support

make sure if you get repo fenders, that there "c.a.p.a" fenders...those are the better ones, and fit the best too

i've only used one aftermarket rad support...and it didnt line up for chit and was over a half inch shorter than the gm one, i know 1/2" dont sound like much, but it might as well been a foot

Re: Aftermarket Fenders & Radiator Support

I would like to stick with GM fenders if I could so I will be checking the local junkyards soon. Does anybody know if there is any kind of mark or stamping to distinguish the original fenders from the aftermarkets?
