Few things I found today...

Ive been searching for some crank opening louvered side windows to build an old style canopy for my truck. Well I finally found some on a beat up old canopy sitting on a GMC. The truck was for sale but it had to be the rustiest one I have ever seen. The section of the roof above the dome light, (that seam area) and all around the rear window and across the top above the windshield were rusted through...I could wiggle the whole top. Every body panel was either rusted or dented beyond use. I cut out the windows of the canopy with my sawzall (insert Tim Allen grunt here). The owner said I could have anything I wanted off the truck. No one wanted it and it was going to the scrappers. Here are some pics of the interesting stuff I got.

Horn button was kinda cool. Im not a GMC guy so I hadnt seen one like this. The chrome shift indicator and chrome emergency flasher button are real nice, just need some polishing. Only one of the custom insignias was good. The camper cruiser badges are cool too, but as you can see they have some pitting. It also had real nice visors that I think are dark grey, and a day nite chrome rearview mirror which was real nice except for the mirror glass. The mounting bracket for it was different than any I have seen but probably common to GMC's, I wouldnt have any idea on that.

Nice score. There's some pretty hard to find stuff there. Camper Cruiser badges, GMC deluxe horn button and fender vent.

I'm going to sell the horn button, the camper cruiser emblems and the one custom emblem. I looked on ebay to try to come up with a price, but I didnt see any of them listed there. Anyone have any ideas?

Nice Finds!

If your gonna sell 'em prolly maybe might be best to look at a repo parts catologue for similiar parts and use your best judgment as to weather to +/- the price from that?

Re: Few things I found today...

IIRC that horn cap is a 67 only item, I have one on that '67 2500 camper cruiser I got from Leadfoot67 a few months back. I tried to buy another one at Monroe swap meet but the owner wanted 20 bones and I had to take the wheel along with it, No sale, I'm cheap lol.
