What is this under the dash?

Look at this 67 farm truck under the dash. I don't think that's an AC unit. It looks like a heater? Anyone recognize it? 67-72 heaters are plenty fine for OK winters. By the way I have a 67 this color combo and I have seen quite a few like this. Vermillion red with a white cap.

Re: What is this under the dash?

While I don't see any signs of a camper ever being on it, it kinda looks like the radio for talking to the ppl in the camper. The dealer had that as an accesory back then... but I'm nowhere near certian on this.

Yeah, I was thinking some sort of real old two-way. Old tube-type transceiver?

Re: What is this under the dash?

Were all 67 cab interiors silver like that? I've seen two 67's in local junkyards in central OK, a green one and a red one, and both had that silver-grey interior like this has.

Too bad about the dent in the front right, otherwise, its got some posibilities.

Most colored trucks do have the silver(fawn) inerior but I've never seen it with a white colored exterior truck. Most white trucks I see are either blue or red inside, metal and everything. By 1968 the metal inside was the color of the outside.
I do have a blue 67 with blue interior. With that being said I've never seen a blue 67 with that silver(fawn) interior. I have a parts truck that is factory blue inside and that same vermillion red as this ebay truck on the outside!! When was the last time you saw that combo factory?

Re: What is this under the dash?

Hey davidh, add green to that list!!! I just parted out a 67 longbed chevy, and it was white on the outside, green on the inside.

My 67 swb (avatar) was white outside with the blue interior.

Re: What is this under the dash?

after reserching I found that that thing at the bottom of the dash is a nuclear reactor used topower an electric shaver.

LOL, that sounded like if I actually knew what I was speaking about!!
