Post Wheel Help Please

None of the 10" wide rims are with the amount of back spacing people on the board are recomending (5 to 6"). I was looking at Eagle Alloy wheels and their 16x10" wheels have a backspacing of only 4.5". Do I have to get them custome ordered or can I just tub the wheel well and make them fit?

well if you go overboard with the backsapcing then you iwl have tire sidewall rubbing on inner wheel tubs problems in the rear and problems at full tuen in the front, tires will hit inner wheel fender and maybe bumper bracket depending on diameter of tire,
its tircky, different spacing with different tire tread widths, lots of measuring and calculating and mocking up, suspension jounce will affect decision of tire size and spacing also

good luck

6" backspace would about rub on the wheel well, maybe 1/4 gap maximum.

So will the 4.5" backspacing that comes on the Eagle Alloy 16x10" wheels be good enough for the rear of my truck?

If you run a 10" wheel w/6" back space the wheel tubs will need to be widend. The standard offsets offered will work if the truck is @ stock height but if you've lowered it custom offsets are sometimes necessary. I had to order 2-pairs of 15x6" standard torq-thrusts when i did my 93 x-cop/stang. Then I widend 2 to my specs because of the limited offsets in that size so that everything would fit nicely. The final fit was dead-on & I've seen others that just ordered whatever was available & put them on & they didn't fit/look half as good.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Thats mostly going to depend on the wheel manufacturer. Some companies offer standard sizes/backspacing while others cost so much the custom features are included.
