Accessory Washer Fluid Bottle

Where is the accessory extra washer fuild bottle supposed to go? I am talking about the triangular glass 'Opticlean' bottle that you see on a lot of older Impalas. I have been told it was on some '67 trucks.

On my '68 it's on the forward side of the left wheel well. Where the bracket is mounted it's at about a 45 degree angle.

Re: Accessory Washer Fluid Bottle

They stopped installing those on the trucks in the mid 60's though didn't they? I've seen the plastic ones in 65 and 66 models, and I have never seen a 67 - 72 with the glass opticleen deal.

Re: Accessory Washer Fluid Bottle

i have one on my 69 lwb. PO says it was factory, yet it's not functional and has a normal plastic container washer fluid tank in it that is functional.

you think he just bolted it in or was it an option for that year? if it was an option, how rare are they?
