Re: Check out this blazer!
That thing has been built for quite a few years now. I've got the special edition 67-72 magazine (bought from a board member) dated 4/99 that Blazer on the cover.

Re: Check out this blazer!
i def like the idea of a slammed blazer, but it almost looks too bare for me. nothing under the hood besides the engine and the completely bare dash minus gauges

Re: Check out this blazer!
to me the cowl looks completely scratch built. not to mention the joining of the the posts to the cowl. i also see a raked roof. i think that i see the w/s is shorter then stock ( not as wide to the door frame), that maybe just the pic. i guess that is it for now??? what else??? oohhh i do see mile deep paint too!
let's hear some different views... rodstored-72 |

Re: Check out this blazer!
1 piece window style top of doors(No windows on sides)/mirrors,filled cowl, chopped and laid back windshield, filled windshield top rail, reshaped door panels, peak of hood continued on cowl, cowl to fender gap raised and filled, cowl narrowed, tub top rail filled, flush fit windshield, chromed hood hinges, filled emblem holes, filled defroster vents,custom/aftermarket seats, door panels, and steering wheel. That's all I see right off but this angle also made me notice the body line from the door to fender is off.Not much but eniough considering the build quality of everything else.Still a nicely done truck just seems the guy who did the rest of the work wouldn't have allowed that to pass.
BTW these are only from the pic in N2Trux post. BTW What is the prize for finding the most mods? ![]()

Re: Check out this blazer!
Hey Ken, do you remember me telling you and Keith what I wanted to do at the Goodguys show, very similar what he has done here only I think I am sticking with the factory dash instead of changing it out. Unless I really fall in love with one from a different year model.

Re: Check out this blazer!
As far as mods he cut the cowl panel and molded the lower section of it to the top of the fenders, cut and laid the windshield post back and welded it solid to the cowl panel, chopped the windshield frame down a couple of inches, cut and capped the doors to meet the blazer quarter panels, shaved and molded in the drip rails that were left in the a-pillars, molded the doors to flow in to the dash, shaved and smoothed the firewall, welded the tailgate solid shut, moved in the rear bumper closer to the body. That's about all I can see for now.

Re: Check out this blazer!
Unless it has a had a total make over that is not the Blazer some of you think it is. Mike King built the one that would have been featured way back when. I have actually seen a pic or two of it this year at a Goodguys show so I doubt this is it. The Mike King Blazer was only a two seater.

Also removed the wipers. Wouldn't work around the rainy NW. Must be a trailer queen.
