Throttle cable changout....help!!
Got a 305 in a 1984 C10; auto; it has the Edelbrock 1406 carb, but standard OEM appearing throttle cable set up...the cable broke today inside the cab ....how do I changet out the throttle cable and put a new one in there?

I'd guess that you just snake it out and snake the new one in where the old one was? I forget how mine hooks to the pedal, but mine's stretched (the pedal sits half an inch off the floor) so i may swap mine at some point. Probably a clamp on each side of the firewall and on the intake manifold.

You can get a new setup from most part stores. They have universal ones but if you can get one like the OEM style get that one. The universal ones you have to trim to fit. Either one just slides through the firewall through a grommet and attaches at the pedal rod. The other side goes through a bracket at the intake and into the carb's linkage.
