What do you do to secure your classic?

Ignition kill switch, fuel pump switch, shaved door handles with solenoids, one peice windows (cannot pry vent windows) and of course, insurance..If they really want it, not alot you can do..

When I have my truck park on my drive way, I use a 12-gauge pump lock. But if I'm out driving I use a steering wheel lock. Like others said, if they want it that bad, they could just carjack you.

There are always a few guys that will post something about how guns or dogs are keeping their truck safe -- you guys are just reinforcing a stereotype If I had a $10 bill for every tiem I've read about people havin their truck stolen at this forum (dozens) versus the number of guys whose gun kept someone from stealing their truck (zero), I'd have a new aribag setup in my truck

Running a toggle switch of some sort to fuel pump and ignition is always a good call (assuming you have electric pump). Alarm and/or Lojack (if available near you) is a plus as well. You can do so many things to foil people from stealing your vehicle...and protect against nearly everything except towing. But, ultimately, if someone wants your truck, they're gonna get it - tow bar, tow truck or otherwise.

My truck is not worth time in prison. In Colorado, use of deadly force to protect life is justified. Use of deadly force to protect property is not unless you feel your life is in danger. You can, however, beat the living crap out of them!

Ill never shoot someone for jackin either of my trucks...but be damn sure if im there it'd get fun. Talk about a stress reliever....takin out some punk does wonders. I think I could make an honest guy out of him..

use a good alarm, some cut off switches, and if i care about the rig I'll drop a Viper GPS system. if the truck moves, it calls me to tell me. It's worked well when I've been over seas. If the truck gets stolen I'd rather know that I can look it up and know where its at, call the cops and go get it back before it get trashed. so far, it's worked ver well on the trail rig.

Insurance---It's not a going to stop a thief , but it's nice to know your not at a total loss. Good insurance is worth the money and you get what you pay for.

Most thieves are in a big hurry and won’t spend more than a couple of minutes attempting to steal something. Unless they’re bent on stealing your stuff, they will move on to easier items to acquire if you just make your vehicle more difficult than the next vehicle down the road.
