400 or 454 with a 4-speed??

I have a 400 with aboot 85k on it, 95% complete, pretty much ready to drop in. I got a deal on a 90 crew cab dually, sold the axles out it, and can't sell the rest. But it has a TBI 454, runs but needs a rebuild. From what I can see, the wiring hasn't been hacked to death, just owned by some dipsh!t woodchuck farmer who beat the snot out of it. I have a set of pistons, and getting the block work done will be the most expensive part. So, should I go for the 400 that will bolt in, no mods needed, or rebuild the 454, change the crossmember and slap it in?? It's gonna be a 4-speed, 12b and D44 with 3.08s. With either engine this thing is gonna move. But a BBC has that ooooo about it!!!

PS, if anybody wants a 90CC with a TBI 454, TH400/205, D44HD and D60HD with 4.10s, decent body and a clear title, PM me.
