My buddy got in a wreck (pics)

My buddy has a 71 like mine and he rear-ended someone Friday. We towed it back to his house today. Looks like he needs a new grill, hood, bumper and pass side fender and radiator. The person in front of him whipped out in front of him and stopped with no brake lights. He didnt have enough time to react. If he had power brakes, this probably would have never happened.

The worst part about it is last week I bought a power brake booster for him and in a week or so it will be in so we could install it. Too little, too late

As long as he was not hurt is the main thing.

Re: My buddy got in a wreck (pics)

The car he hit apparently was not too damaged. Late 90s buick I think. He is OK just a little sore...

look real close for frame damage, the way the nose is bent down looks bad to me. It really doesn't take much to bend the frames on these.

Re: My buddy got in a wreck (pics)

To me almost looks like the grill guard did more damage than anything else. I have always wanted one to "look more tough", but from what I understand bodyshops love them more

As long as no one was hurt.....no not really...I'd would have like to beat the hell out the guy with no brake lights

Re: My buddy got in a wreck (pics)

I hate it for your friend but by what I could tell by the pictures everything looks repairable. Like Longhorn Man said when you get everything stripped off be sure and check the frame to see if it got knocked down or you are going to have a time getting your new parts to line up.

Not quite! It will cost a few hours by a few pals and more than a few beers!

I appreciate your comments guys. Looks like we got a hook-up on some good parts and time allowing we will try to tear in to her 1-2 weekends from now! Thx, J
