Re: puting windows in

It's real easy and you do it the same as the windshield. Soak the rubber in some hot soapy water, I use a 5 galon bucket and Dawn dish washing liquid. When you've got the rubber good and clean put in no your new glass then take either some 1/4 inch braided nylon rope or even some 504 parachute cord and put it in the empty groove so it goes all the way around the rubber and over-laps at the bottom. Then get inside while someone holds it in place from the outside, setting the bottom in place first take one end of the cord and SLOWLY pull on it and you will see the rubber taking it's place around the opening as the person outside the truck holds pressure against the glass. Make your way around VERY SLOWY and the lip of the window rubber will take it's place inside over the mounting flange. When you've made it all the way around check to make sure it is in place and good and tight, some times you have to slap the glass with an open hand to get it to seat perfctly into place .
Once you've done it a few times it's like putting your socks on because it will just fall into place. But the trick is: (1)line it up , (2) make sure its clean and soft, (3) go SLOWLY and set it in place (4) pull the cord SLOWLY so the lip comes over correctly !
