Removing front fenders

Rather simple question. How do I do it? Trying to take the fenders off the 84 parts truck. And I know NOTHING. Well, other than I have to take off the wiper fluid canister. What has to come off? Where do they attach?

Trying to take the front fenders and hood off the truck to clean them up in preparation for listing them as "for sale".

Re: Removing front fenders

You have to remove the hood mark where the hinges were so it lines up when you put it back on. Then remove all the bolts holding on the fenders. There will be some shims make a note where they were so eveything lines up when you put the fenders back.

Re: Removing front fenders

Errr... I kinda knew that....

Where are the bolts? Which ones attach it? Down on the frame, right? Do the fenders attach to the cab?

I need a "I'm an idiot, help me" guide.

Re: Removing front fenders

Pull the hood. any attaching stuff. I think you have 2 Bolts up under the cowl and 1 at the bottom by the door and now sure how the attach to the core support, probably a few bolts. obviously the grill needs to come out, or at least the headlight trim.
