i assume you got the 3/4t MC to go with the 3/4t booster? the different MCs have different length pistons...

Yes, I purchased a complete new unit, with New MC and new booster. I also bought the longer brackets as the new booster has a longer shaft than the orginal booster.

Do you think this is where I need to make the adjustment?

i don't want to change something like brake rod length and screw it up more than I have started. If I need to change it, how much do I change? Any suggestions?

I am noob. Why upgrade? It does not actually change the brake set up does it?

I guess the real question is why. If there is a goof reason I am going to do it to..looks like something I can handle.

I reused the rod from my 1/2ton booster. I bought the 3/4 ton set up (came as one unit) unbolted the MC to bleed it, bolted it back up and used the brackets that came with the booster. You guys are overthinking this and mixing parts, just stick with the new parts and your existing hardware. My brakes stop excellent, this upgrade is usually done on 4X4's not 2wd (I've never had an issue with a 2wd not braking good) The reason for the upgrade on the 4X4's is because back in the day they put single diaphrams in the booster for 1/2 tons, and double diaphrams in the 3/4 tons. The dual diaphram set up takes way less pressure on the pedle to achieve great braking (cures that rock hard pedal as well).

So I can use my stock 1/2t bracket and rod (PB setup) with a 3/4t booster and MC?
