Any owners in the chicago area that has front discs installed?
After fixing my electrical probs, and then get my floor boards and rockers replaced, i want to start on the drum to dic swap. I would like, in person, to see it and speak to the owner on how it was done. See my PO cut the coils, i think, to lower the truck and i really like it stance but i don't think cutting coils is a proper way of lowering, so i need to figure out the best way to keep my stance but have it done properly. So if someone near me has done this and wouldn't mind chatting then let me know.

thanks for the offer. i will be looking for all kids of help. i was in Tulsa not that long ago. nice area but a tornado hit OK CTY the day before.

Check out the mags custom classic trucks, truck builder. I'm sure they did a writeup on the swap.

i just recently completed the drum to disk swap on my 69. i'd be happy to go over the process with you and or do the swap for you. i have all the nessasary tools and a shop to do it in. as for the drop you are correct in saying the cut springs isin't really the right way to do it. pm me and i'll send ya my phone #. ondrew winfield service. |
