Neutral Safety Switch
I'm installing a neutral safety switch on a truck that did not previously have one. The switch itself is in the trans. (Keisler 5-speed) Any suggestions on the best way to wire it?
Thanks.

Re: Neutral Safety Switch
personally, i say remember to depress the clutch.
However, you could run the purple wire that goes from the ignition switch, run it to one of the wires on the switch, then the other wire on the switch, goes back out to the purple wire and on to the starter. |

Re: Neutral Safety Switch
just an idea here. get one from a 88-98 Chevy truck. its a simple pad type switch that get pushed by the pedal arm. I think it would be fairly easy to fab one of those in. a relay may be needed though.

Re: Neutral Safety Switch
I'm not familiar with that tranny but is it possible that the switch is a back-up light switch?

Re: Neutral Safety Switch
No, the Tremec has a separate back-up light switch on the driver's side and a neutral safety (Ford-type) on the passenger side.
