will the brake booster from 73-87 fit????
I have a brake booster from a who knows what exactly- got to love it
I modified it so it will filt on the bracket and I think it will work with a little work to the rod that goes to the pedal my question is will this fit under the hood the reason i ask is that I will not be putting the hood on for quite some time. thank you |

here it is mounted on the truck
it is slightly modified- cut the top and had to drill a couple of new holes but the rod and cup lines up with the hole in the firewall all I am concerned with is the clearance of the hood what do you guys think Last edited by jamon8; 11-01-2006 at 09:11 AM. |

I have the big booster from this era on my truck and have no issues with hood clearance. I didn't trim the top of the brackets yet (will be cleaning that up this winter) but, as you did, had to drill a couple of holes in the bracket to mount it to the firewall. Fits pretty darn good with very minimal modification.
