Hey bill, do you know anything about Vintage Air systems? I think I read that you can save a good bit of $$$ on their kit (I'll be buying one next year) if you already have a factory A/C controller? Do you or anyone else know if that is true?

Can you make one good A/C unit out of the two? (I'm sure a lever or two is busted, right?)

67chevyredneck i don't know about the vintage a/c stuff. 99% of the stuff i have is used. i will look at the a/c controls to see if there is enough stuff there to make 1 good one.

Re: a/c & heater controls for parts f/s

out of the 2 a/c controls you would still need a bottom leaver to make 1 good one.

Re: a/c & heater controls for parts f/s

I looked at a couple of vendors sites and they only list the heater replacement levers, not the A/C.... are these the same? Could I use a lever off one of the heater units?

FYI....Vintage will sell you a new a/c control for about $195. I got a new one on ebay for $130 so I didn't need it when I bought my vintage kit. Might have found it even cheaper if I tried.

Re: a/c & heater controls for parts f/s

Hey Bill, I will take the whole lot for the $40 shipped. I won't be able to get a MO out until monday (leaving for a weekend trip in a couple hours). PM me your address (again ) and I'll send one out on monday... unless you take Paypal now.

Thanks,

Jesse
