West Coast JR Mirrors or Sport Mirrors? Poll

Should I stay with the stock West Coast Jr mirrors or go with 72 style sport mirrors? I might get rid of the white on the grille and like the chrome look better than white, but is it to far away from stock? Though I would get a vote from you guys...

I like mirrors that I can see out of. The sport mirror's look good, but are about useless on a truck, especially a 4x4, as far as I am concerned. Get some Chrome West Coast

Nothin wrong with havin some sport mirrors on a 4x4! Of course it's like anything else, it all boils down to your personal preference. With the cab clearance lights the big mirrors seem to work for the look you have going there.

Re: West Coast JR Mirrors or Sport Mirrors? Poll

I wouldn't put either . I would put a mirror like shown. These are on a van but you can get the idea. You get the look of a sport mirror, but also the viewablity of a bigger mirror. You asked for Opinions, So that is mine.

Re: West Coast JR Mirrors or Sport Mirrors? Poll

i chose the west coast jr mirrors for my current 4x4 project. it will be used as a truck and do alot of towing, skid steer, band mill and car trailer. i'm seriously thinking about a plate for towing a goose neck dump trailer or multiple car hauler so mirrors are a must

I like the jr. west coasters but with the chrome wheels you got going there either go with the chrome verison or the other stock style mirror. The kind (can't find a pic) that mounts in the same location of the sport mirrors but has the long metal arm with either a round or rectangular mirror head.

that was the other idea too. Those were original to 67-68 I believe as were the ones on my truck. I only plan on using the truck for minor truck work (lowes, lanscaping, minor towing once a year, etc..) and driving to car shows for parts or cruise-in's. With the clearance lights I am leaning towards what seeten was talking about. Although his truck is one reason that I like sport mirrors! I may start looking for a chrome OEM version....

Re: West Coast JR Mirrors or Sport Mirrors? Poll

my neighbors are understanding, I think. I only had that mess out for a few days. I live in a nice area too but must of the stuffy old people have moved away and retired. The younger crowd is starting to take over the street. We do have one guy on the street that always has "stuff" out and needs to buy a shed.

I have always thought that the sport mirrors look cheap, and flimsy. I vote for chrome of what you got, or the long arm stock chrome version. I think that west coast mirrors look the best with clearance lights. They are also way more usefull.

don't think i'm gonna go that route. This truck is/was 100% original until I threw the hood away and put on the tires. The cab light have grown on me know and I would hate to cover the holes anyway. Anyone know a good place to find OEM chrome West Coast Jr's?
