Check the parts board you may see some one advertising one. And yes you can get aftermarket manifolds that will permit you to run a 2 or 4 bbl carb. Be warned though (so I am told) if you run a 2 or 4 bbl you'll need to have a throttle cable (71 and newer) and not the throttle rod (70 & older) configuration. Offenhauser and Clifford Research make the manifolds.

A good source of in-line 6 stuff and info is

www.stovebolt.com
www.inliners.org

Re: where can i find an intake manifold for my 250 v6?

In 1963 Jack saw the potential of the 6 cylinder engine over V-8s in the stock NHRA drag classes. His Hornet powered Hudson with 450 ft lbs of torque at 3,300 rpms, won the L/Stock class at the Winternationals with a speed of 85.65 mph and c.t. of 15.77, a record that held for ten years until the class was outlawed. Amazingly, all of Jack's NHRA races were done BEFORE HEADERS, and all engines were PURE STOCK!

thats an impressive number 383 small blocks make just 50 ft lbs more

Re: where can i find an intake manifold for my 250 v6?

yea inline 6's are torque monsters. my fried has a 94 f 150 with a 4.9 straight 6 and with 2 4 wheelers in the bed, going uphill, on an off road trail without touching the gas or clutch and we'd cruise up the hill no problem. he even had to hit the brake every once and a while.

That is what I was wondering............I imagine Inline though since it is a 250.

Check out inliners.org

I just put a 250 in my '72 K-20 and put a Clifford 4brl Intake, Edelbrock 500 CFM 4 brl, and Clifford exhaust manifold. Was having some trouble getting it tuned, but new metering rods, springs, and a few other carb changes and it runs great now. Guys over at inliners really know these things inside and out. Ask them how to proceedure and what your planning on doing with the vehicle, they can set you up with all the spec's.

MJ:
Here is a smoothed & polished Clifford intake and headers. I am going to put them on the parts board tonight. I will give you first call on these parts, but only through Mon. On Tues anyone can call for them.
Let me know if you would like them.
