Hello
Hello everyone, I just wanted to say hi & i'm glad to be a new member here, (I kinda had to wait until I got the right truck) I've always been into Hot Rod Trucks, I guess maybe up here in the Washington/Oregon area trucks are just more popular then cars, anyway, I've had several cool lowrider hot rod trucks, including one witn a big block, but I've always wanted a bad boy 67-72, & now I finally have a nice one, (had to sell my 94 Land Cruiser & my boat to buy it) but it was well worth it, it's a beautiful Viper Red with violet pearl 71 c-10 with a 425HP 350, & has all the good stuff ididit billet colum, ceramic coated hooker headers, blah, blah, blah, anyway, I hope to post some pictures of it some time soon that are worth looking at, the littel one here doesn't look quite right after I made it 7 times smaller to fit here.

Re: Hello
okay this is the last picture, (gotta show the motor right?) the truck is pretty much done except I do need to put in a posi rearend, it has 3.73 limited now & I can fry the right rear at speed below 35MPH, I am also interested in maybe switching to a 700R4 but I don't travel much with the truck so it's not as important to me as being able to leave 2 big long black stripes behind me, I'm open for any ideas of what work, any body use the power trax from richmond? IT looks pretty stout & they say it's easy to install.

Re: Hello
Thanks everyone, I've liked this board for awhile, now I really feel welcome, I've been drooling over this truck for over 10 years now, my buddy has put $$$ into it for over 18 years, he got a wild hair & decided he wanted to sell it to me & buy an Escalade, I Love it, I doubt I would ever sell it. Anybody from my area going down to the end of the world Hot Rod Run over at Long beach, Washington? It's this weekend.

Re: Hello
Welcome to the board! I love your truck!!! It's not over or under done, it's perfect! I have had a few 72 shortbeds myself and went with the stance you have on yours using all Early Classic 4/6 drop.

Re: Hello
Hey thanks Cal 58, I totally agree the 4/6 drop from early is good setup & it rides really good, this truck rides better then some of my newer trucks I've had, although I have hit a few bad spots in the road with one of my lower A arms, scares the heck out of me & makes me stare at my oil gauge for awhile, I love these trucks, you puts some decent wheels & tires on it & the right stance, & they look great even before you put a fancy paint job on them.
