Saved from the big green crushing machine

I am a newb here. I didn't have any intentions of another project but I picked this up by luck for $100. I think I got lot of metal for the money. It's next stop was the crusher!! I plan on leaving a lwb and doing a frame off resto with a little lowering and some big chrome rollers of course. It has a 350 4 speed. Sorry for the Ram in my gallery.

Re: Saved from the big green crushing machine

Nice rescue Ram! It breaks my heart to see what once was a 67-72 GM truck "lowered" to about 6" tall on the flatbeds heading outa town. Should be a law against it. Keep us posted on progress.

Later---DAC

Re: Saved from the big green crushing machine

Nice Truck for $100! Drivers side box side looks real straight, hows the cab?
I just picked up a 70 Chev fleetside a few weeks ago for $50 but had to leave my race truck up at my buddies place 250 miles from house to haul it home and then go back and pickup my race truck, good thing I was on holidays!

Re: Saved from the big green crushing machine

I now have it tore all the way down to the frame. The body is gonna need a little work but nothing that can't be fixed. I'm starting by having the frame sandblasted and spend the winter working on suspension and drivetrain. Thanks for all the welcomes!!
