Front Leaf Spring Mount

After my last outing (see 4x4 action pics thread) I nearly tore the front driver side leaf spring mount off the frame. 2 bolts were gone, the rest were loose and I'm sure now all the holes have been ovalled out. Has anyone welded and braced up this area? Any pictures or ideas? Thanks!

Re: Front Leaf Spring Mount

I welded mine but that was due to converting from 2x4 to 4x4. If you replace your bolts with grade 8 bolts AND torque them to spec and then use red locktite on the nuts, I'm sure everything will stay in place w/o shifting permanently.
