Oh I forgot to mention that the result is a 6/7 drop. I planned a 5/7 but my tires were too large in diameter so I changed from 275/60-15 to 235/60-15 which gave the additional inch.
Now my next wish is to change my tires a 19/22 or 20/22 combo would be favourite but the choice in 5x5 is not that big´.
What would you recommend me for my wheel set-up?

@ghetto superman: I know what you mean. Every time you plan to take oictures but in 90% you don't take them, if it's your camera is defective or you just forget it. That's the cause I took so many because by myself it's the same.

Ja, es war auf jeden Fall Zeit meinen PU dem Boden etwas näher zu bringen.

Nach langem Suchen und Verhandlungen über die Transportkosten hatte ich endlich die Tieferlegungsteile in Händen!

Es war definitiv viel mehr Arbeit als gedacht, da ich die Gelegenheit nutzte und Vorder- und Hinterachse direkt zu überholen. Nach dem dann alles fertig war mußte ich feststellen das ich es ein wenig übertrieben hatte und nicht mehr aus der Garage kam. Lange Rede kurzer Sinn ich hab mir dann halt noch ein Air-Ride System gegönnt. Den Rest seht Ihr ja auf den Bildern.

Insgesamt hat es sich definitiv gelohnt. Das Fahrverhalten ist wesentlich besser und wie cool das Dingen auf der Straße liegt; Weltklasse.

The content of your attachment is just that I thought it is time to lower it and that it wasn't that easy to get the parts overseas. The shipping costs were sky high. Than when I received them it was a lot more work then I ever thought.
The components I ordered lowered it too much so I had to change my tires, but now I love it. It rides a lot better and looks the way I want it to.

Did you brush on the hammered(?) finished paint on some of your components (drums and a-arms in pic 87)? They look good.

BTW, from the pics it looks like your bushings for the UCA don't look completely pressed into place.?

Can you get/run American billet wheels in Germany? If so, you could try a set of 20/22s from Billet Specialties, Intros or some of the other American billet wheels. Not sure what you have there in Germany. Billets would give the truck a different look. If you get billets, you 'bably have to polish that rear 'roll' pan. The chrome rims with the moons look retro.

after a long search and some negotiation about the costs of the transport i finaly had the loweringset in my hands

it definetely was more work then i thought it would be , because i allso overhauled the front and back axle during the lowering
when all was done i found out it was a bit too low i couldn't get the truck out of the garage no more , to make a long story short : i bought myself a airride system too the rest you can see in the pictures

it was alltogether worth the trouble the ridequality has gone up considerably and how cool it looks sitting so low to the pavement worldclass

im dutch but i do speak german its kindah like with you guys and spanisch there neighbours and i learned from watching german tv (nightrider in german was a hoot : kit kommen sie nach der hintereingang.....yawol michael )

I thought about you the other day. I saw a red longbed stepside for sale near my house. It was the first one I had seen in a long time. My dad had one when I was a kid. that was what first got me interested in these trucks.

It's nearly impossible to get these rims in Germany and if the the prices are extremely high. So I plan to buy a set in the USA.
The only problem is to find a online shop which is well priced and has a large range of rims.
Can you recommend any shop?

the import is what makes the prices of these rims so high in europe .
best thing you could try is get someone to put the wheels under a car leaving the states on a boat for europe if youre lucky they slip by customs undetected

Another on-line shop that seems to be expanding the line of billet wheels : http://www.newstalgiawheel.com

Discount Tires (a national tire chain) seems to be able to get billet wheels from different manufacturers. Some brands they can get are not listed on their site (http://www.discounttire.com).

That's a few on-line sites that carry billet wheels. There are many others. In fact, if I can remember the other performance wheel site that has a large selection of wheels at reasonable prices, I'll post it. Maybe others will chime in.
