71 GMC question ?
Are the front fenders the same as the 71 Chevy. I want to make the front grille into the Chevy look and was wondering if I will have issues.

Yes they are. I'm doing the same thing on my 71 gmc. I found a chevy outer grille and im getting a billet insert

67-68 chevy and 67-72 GMC fenders are the same. 69-72 chevy fenders are different from the chevy 67-68 and 67-72 gmc fenders. The core supports are different but will work will minor mods

If I read this right, you want to install a chevy grill on your 71 GMC. If you are going with a 69 - 71 grill, then you'll NEED fenders off of a 69 - 72 chevy, the fenders will bolt up and line up with the cab perfect, but you can not install the chevy (again, 69 - 72) grill in the GMC fenders.
If you are wanting to run a 67/68 chevy grill, you can use the fenders that are on your GMC right now. |
