Need advice what engine/trans
Just brought home a big pain in the neck.
67 short step. good cab and front clip. The truck has a 6 in it. I want to go to a 350. What year engine should i look for. Also looking for a 350 auto trans. will I need long or short |

just about anything will work well
any year 350 with HEI ignition would be an easy job welcome to the board |

That's the nice thing about chevy, just about anything will swap in. I would go with a short shaft though because if you have the drive shaft already you wouldn't need to buy another one.
What 6, 292? Been looking for a 67 292....I have a 74 now but want to make it orginal. Pm me if you are interested in getting rid of it and it's a 292. I have a good short shaft 350 i would trade. Thanks, Steve |
