hood question
Anyone know what a new hood goes for from GM...say a 78 or 79 hood?

The original GM hood is $375 at Chevy Duty.

Damn, I feel good...I paid $50 for it two weeks ago from a junkyard. Although I needed an ealier hood (this one has the ridge across the front) I knew 50 bones was a good deal for a rust, dent, and kink free hood!

funny thing though...I originally only wanted the hood so I got a "yard pass" and drove back and pulled the hood. On the way out I found another 73 that had good headliner trim pieces (got them all) and then found a 78 or 79 tach cluster (off the truck I got the hood from) and pulled the whole cluster...grand total = $60...for EVERYTHING!
I am going to use the trim pieces and i just sold the tack on E-bay for $125...do the math!!! ...now if only I could find a pair of full power doors that are rust free!! |
