Head gaskets.....?
Im on my lunch break at work, my town gets stupid and busy around lunch time....so I had to be a little mean to my truck.
I pulled out in front of a semi and floored my old truck as not to get rearended. Well when I did that the truck sputtered a little bit then cleared up and laid some rubber. But the weird thing is now I can smell antifreeze all the time..... Theres no visible leaks, it still runs fairly decent, the radiators still full (I dont have an overflow tank thing) But now my heater works better then ever, I dont get it. Mitch. |

Smell it inside the cab or outside? I've had a seam leak on a newer truck, it wouldn't leak fluid, but I could smell coolant. I pressurized the system and spritzed soapy water on the rad and it was bubbling on a seam. It was a vapor leak under pressure.
Just don't make like a guy at work, he saw a puddle in the cab floor, thought his heater core leaked, tasted it, and found out it was kitty cat leakage.

check your dipstick to see if you see coolant in there.

Check your radiator for bubbles with the engine running, water in the exhaust, water in the oil, oil in the water.

I'll bet your heater core has sprung a leak, check around the heater box under the hood and under the dash.
