Gas Tank
I did a search on using a keg for a gas tank and there were a few threads out there but none had the info I was looking for. How would I go about tuning a 1/2 keg(15.5gal) into a fuel cell.

First thing before investing a lot of time would be to see if it is legal in Florida to do that.
In NC it isn't |

first you have to make a secure way to mount it, this is very important. second you got to have a ground wire comming from it to the chassis, third is you got to have a way to fill it, i highly recomend getting the proper bung & cap say from like mark williams in colorado ( he sells race car fab components ) along with bungs to connect the fuel lines in the bottom and 1 in the top if you need a return line say for injection type engines. lastly you need a vent in the top, i,d get it from the race car fab guys as you need a vent that will seal off closed in case of roll over. lastly this is a fuel tank not a fuel cell. there 2 completely different critters. hope i helped.

Truthfully today nothing more than the spelling. Originally, most fuel cells have a protective layering (bladder) in the tank to prevent exposions during an accident. A tank was just a container without the protecive layer.

I may be wrong but I though fuel cells had a blatter or something in them to keep the fuel from sloshing around in the tank whereas in a tank the fuel is allowed to flow freely when you take a corner or something, I was thinking that is why the racing crowd uses the cells so that in extreme acceleration or cornering there is still fuel to be picked up even when the tank is low
