rear disk brake kits avalablity?

I am looking at purchasing a 76 chev 1/ton 2wd and I am wanting to put 22 on it and I would like to upgrade the brakes. Is there a kit to convert the rear drums to disks? or do I need to make my own braket and get parts from different trucks?

Thanks any info would be great...

I don't know if there is, but if so I hope it will fit an 89 1 ton!

Re: rear disk brake kits avalablity?

what i thought..i had to read it twice too.

question still stands: which axle is under the truck? Discs for dana 70's have to be custom fabbed bracket wise because there isn't a steet market for 70 discs and I'm not sure racing bracketry would work well under constant use.

Discs for a 14 bolt are a little more common...Chevy still uses the 8x6.5 pattern, wonder if discs off a 99 or 01 would work? I never thought of that...
