Throttle sticking
I took the 68 for a drive and I noticed that the throttle is sticking. I checked the gas pedal hinge on the firewall and that is not binding up. I checked on the throttle linkage (not sure if that is its name see pic piece is colored in green) and without the throttle rod or springs it is sticking. I sprayed some carb cleaner in there but no luck. Any suggestions?

Re: Throttle sticking
What should I use to lubricate it? Also maybe hit it with some carb cleaner?

Re: Throttle sticking
hit with carb cleaner to clean first then either a silicone lube or i like white lithium grease in the spray// also in the cab where the pedal likage pivots and goes thru firewall

Re: Throttle sticking
Well I disconnected the carb springs and throttle rod. With the carb still on the intake I gave it the throttle linkage (area in green) a good cleaning with carb cleaner. When I hooked up the throttle rod I noticed a slight catch. I extended the rod by 1 turn and it looks like that has fixed it.
