Cowl repop box ??

Does "anyone" make a repop cowl box for these models?
I've checked LMC and the like and nothing.
Mine is toast at the cowl/firewall junction from the "quality" sealer the factory used.
It's mainly at the spot weld line and i can cut & paste with metal but "if" I could get a complete replacement panel,or at least the front section it would be much easier.
Only real concern is the curved area in the middle. Not too bad but still could be a PITA to form.
A salvage piece would possiably work but it's a lot of trouble to get off and most likely end up swiss cheese after removing it.

Any ideas?

Thanks Mike.

Wire wheel on an angle grinder and clean it up real good and put some rust stopper on it and repaint it.

There isn't a piece to replace that. That is from where the firewall meets the cowl. It doesn't rust because of the low quality sealer, it rust because that area gets full of dirt and leaves and ends up just sitting there and rusting everything out. I would highly recommend to anyone to at least check that area before and after the fall and clean it out. If you have never done so, I would also recommend checking it now before it gets bad. Eventually it will start leaking to the floorpan, so if you haven't check, pull your carpet up.

The best fix is to clean it out the best you can, cut the bad out and weld pieces back in. Paint it with some rust inhibitive paint and seal it up.

Re: Cowl repop box ??

Well, We are both right. It is from debris and water BUT, the sealer used on this truck IS the cause for MOST of the rust. It's shrunk up or peeled and water has got behind or sat and destroyed the sheet metal from the outside in. No wire wheel is gonna fix this. It's basically 75% ate up.
Same with the door skins and jambs. Sealer shrunk or lifted and water got behind it and the paint into the primer and did a slow cook.
Thanks, I'll keep looking.
