tail lights not working
hi
i have a 67 c10 longbed and the tail lights are not working. i tested the voltage at the lights and got nothing. so i up to a plug towards the back of the truck mounted on a cross member and got less than 1 volt. i tried folling the wires but got lost when i reached the cab not finding any more places to test the voltage. i figure the harness from the rear crossmember to the lights is bad so i will replace that but shouldn't the voltage be closer to 12 not 1. any ideas would be appreciated. thanks, chris

Re: tail lights not working
you can get one volt from your finger... your problem is north of that plug.
Did you look at your fuse? Does the dome light work? How about the dash lights? Odds are, the fuse or headlamp switch... one of them are at fault. |

Re: tail lights not working
Probably not, you most likely have an 1156 bulb installed in one of your tail lights instead of an 1157.
Do the parking lights come on (and flash with) one of the turn signals? |

Re: tail lights not working
yeah, sounds like whomever installed this turn signal didn't do it right.
Whats wrong with the original turn signal set up? |
