Serpentine Setup ???
I have an '87 Chevy 1/2 ton with a 350 TBI setup. I have the oppurtunity to purchase a complete Serpentine setup. However I will have to eliminate my smog pump setup. By doing this will this cause any problems with my truck running and or will this trigger the check engine light? I don't think that it will, I just need some info on this before I make the purchase. Thanks guys..

Re: Serpentine Setup ???
The better question is what will the inspection booth say. Especially when living in Lancaster.

Re: Serpentine Setup ???
Yeah I know, but I figured that would be a good time to take a trip back home to East Texas and have it done there. Hopefully I get some more feedback. good point

Re: Serpentine Setup ???
i think it has to be inspected in the county you live in, I don't know where the emmisions cutoff is in texas, i know my 77 failed when we put the headers on in '99, they cared less of the smog pump because 454'd 1 tons werent smog equipped to begin with, but the stove pipe was removed, and they failed it for that.
