Like it says. I have a set of Mile Marker (stainless?) locking hubs and superwinch (already on my Dana 44) and am not sure which ones to run? The milemarkers look nicer but the superwinch are already on and seem to function as well. The superwinch are 1/4 turn and MM's are 3/4 turn. I am going to pull the hubs and repack bearings anyway so it doesn't matter on labor. Thanks for any input.

I have never ran anything but Warn. I would inspect the Supers and if fine then carry the MM for a spare when wheelin...or visa versa...

I have had a few sets of the Warn premiums on past trucks and just recently put Superwinch hubs on the burb; I think the superwinch hubs are easier to engage/disengage. The blue is kind of ugly to me personally.

It's a wash... You can't go wrong either way.

my 68 came with blue hubs originally. But the chrome on the MM's is pretty nice too...

I run Milemarkers in my 78 K10. My buddy Rob, member Zoomad75, runs the Superwinch hubs on his ’75 K5 Blazer. Neither of our toys get a whole lot of miles per year but when they actually leave the yard they are gluten for punishment in the mountains.

Neither of us have had a selectable hub failure to date…..but, after looking at the construction of both hubs while packing wheel bearings, etc…. I would put my money on the Superwinch hubs. They just look robust as all heck and the quarter turn is a nice benefit. It is not uncommon for me to reach around the tire to grab the axle shaft and spin it a tad to open a cog in the hub to allow the hub to engage.. You just don’t seem to run into that problem with Superwinch hubs.

Larry's right on the money. One little story to prove the stoutness of the superwinch hubs was the lone run we made in the snow to test out the detroit cheesy (oops, EZ) locker in the front axle. Needless to say the cheesy locker proved to be about as usefull as a sack of dog poo. With power applied it would stick and slip causing a nasty banging noise (like somebody beating the axle with a sledgehammer). What power that did make it to the wheels was on/off and had me very worried about blowing up the hubs or axle u-joints. From the noise you couldn't tell if it was the cheesy locker or the hubs. After 10 minutes of trying just to get further up a packed snow trail with no forward progress we parked it. We removed the cheesy locker at Larry's place and found the superwinch hubs survived without a problem. Spider gears were installed again and the next trip out the hubs performed as they were suppesed to.

Plus the housing on the superwinch is solid, not just a stainless jacket like the others. Those in the picture can be cleaned up with steel wool, elbow grease and buffing wheel.
