Re: 67 K10 Brake Booster
The 72 booster with the mounting brackets and brake rod should work fine on your 67. Just use your distribution valve since you have drum brakes. You will have to change the master cylinder to one for power brakes, though.

Re: 67 K10 Brake Booster
I'm doing the same thing in my 68 but also changing the front axle to a 75 Dana 44 with discs. Should be an easy bolt in with what you have. Be careful bending the brake lines. I picked up a 1 ton booster so it should put me through the windshield when it stops! (figure of speech)

Re: 67 K10 Brake Booster
The one ton booster is definitly the deal to make drum brake trucks stop. Get some good brake shoes also ans it will stop pretty good. Disclaimer, you need to do all the normal safety ch4cks when working on brake systems.
One other thing you are going to need to dill another hole about an inch lower on the brake pedal, the power brake hole, other wise the rod to pedal ratio will make it way to sensitive. If in doubt find a P/B equiped truck and measure the distance down for the booster rod hole. |
