Re: manual tilt column? wiw

I payed $225 for a manual tilt column with intermittent wipers and everything in good shape. I have read some say that they could get columns for about $125, but the loccal salvage around here is at $200 or higher for good ones.

I paid $200 for my manual tilt column, completely rebuilt with new everything. Mine is older, with the wipers on the dash though.

If you have the patience you can find manual tilt columns for under $100. I have bought 3 or 4 in the $50-75 price range. The last one was a $40 swap meet find, most were Ebay finds.

Well this one was really cheap , it doesnt have the wipers on the column though, but it is in really good shape, nice and tight.

You might try and send a PM to Crossy. At one time he had some for sale.

Some ppl find better deals than others. Was yours completely rebuilt with all new chrome, ignition switch/key, levers, freshly painted, etc???

I guess if you factor in what I sold my old one for, then I only have $100 into it.
