Slide the reducer into the endo of the sleeve that goes to the radiator. It should only go in about half way. Shove the radiator hose into the other end of the sleeve. It should use up the other half of the sleeve. Put the cover on and then slide the sleeve and reducer on the the radiator inlet/outlet. Tighten clamps till they are no longer leaking.

Heater hose reducers are very thin and get damaged after you tighten them down and remove them. Sand paper is ok.
