Fleetside, Woodbed ?
Getting ready to paint bedsides, and my painter said the strips that you'd bolt the bedwood to, that runs down the inside, bottom, of the bedside are in bad shape. Is there a replacement part (can't find any) or would we just have to cut them off, drill the holes into another strip of metal and then weld them on? Any help, advice, suggestions would be appreciated.

I know on the stepside beds you can buy them. You'll need a spot weld cutter to remove the old ones, then weld the new one on. I would assume they are available for fleetsides also.

Re: Fleetside, Woodbed ?
I dont think he is talking about the strips. I think he is refering to the lip that rolls off the inside to the box side. You are correct that there are no patches for that area of the box. A patch can be made easily and cut out the old rusty are. But weld in the patch and you good as your going to get. Short of buying s rust free box.
