Goodmark probably sold/sells many Triplus items.
Goodmark is just a reseller with an excellent marketing team

Re: Goodmark lost it's GM License??

I have seen both of these companies products installed in various shops around the country. They both work very well. It all truthfully has to do with prep work before installation

Re: Goodmark lost it's GM License??

I ordered a few patch panels from Goodmark last year, rockers, cab corners, floor patchs. Some of the metal had tri-plus stickers on it. I don't know how many manufactures there are, but most companies sell the same products,

Re: Goodmark lost it's GM License??

This is a tad confusing..... Goodmark doesn't actually manufacture any parts, correct? They are only a distributor who mainly buys and sells/repackages (sometimes) parts from TRI-PLUS.

So the real question is, since Goodmark didn't actually make the parts, did they really lose the license, or did Tri-Plus? If it is the case that Goodmark lost the trademark, there should be no difference in the parts they sell, they're just cutting out GM to make more money

The same ones that made them for Goodmark before.

ALL Goodmarks is doing is NOT paying for the silly logo that says GM certified because it costs an arm and a leg. They didn't lose a license, they stopped paying for it.

Their sheetmetal supplier is NOT changing. Tri-pluss is the supplier for the majority of sheetmetal parts for Goodmark except for the ones that they get from GM dealerships.

My secondary suppliers sells the EXACT same parts Goodmark does, just cheaper, since you don't have to pay (at the time) for Goodmarks name AND the GM stamp on particular parts, you got the same thing and got it cheaper. Goodmark probably decided to stop giving money to GM for absolutely nothing but a stamp, and use that money for profit. It was a business decision.

I just checked their site, and all of the GM stuff is gone, and no tailgates with GM lettering. I'm not 100% on this, but I think they used to sell stepside tailgates from GM, but I think they were in the $350-$400 range.
