cowl hoods info please help!!!!!!!

Hi guys I have a 68 panel i'm redoing I really want it to stand out. Everyone seems to have a 2" goodmark cowl hood so I want to go bigger you know really stand out. but I can't seem to find a larger metal one for 67-68 chevy trucks. I'm looking for a 3 or 4" ?????????

i wont say for certain but when i was looking for cowl hoods and wanted bigger than 2" i would have had to get a glass one which would have meant new hood springs as well hope this helps you so yes they are available just in fiberglass

Re: cowl hoods info please help!!!!!!!

These are glass not steel but they make up to a 6" cowl for a 68.

I like the looks of a 4".

Id like to find a cheap way to ship one to Canada. :-)

Re: cowl hoods info please help!!!!!!!

Around here every truck has a 2in cowl hood , including the soccer mom's new Suburban / Tahoe's , if ya want something different have the hood louvered .
Wasn't really what you asked , lol . Just my .02 .

Board member bigjimz111 has the 4" cowl hood on his truck. I really like that look also.

Re: cowl hoods info please help!!!!!!!

your either going to have to get a glass one, or fab your own up... I think i have seen steel scoops somewhere, maybe Goodmark.. im not sure
This is a 3 inch from Harwood, its fiberglass on a 69-72 style but you get the idea... I think this is the perfect size, and I plan on running this one
