Re: Heat Shrink Setups

If you are talking about heat shrink tubing to insulate wire splices, Radio Shack carries it.

Re: Heat Shrink Setups

Check your yellow pages for electronics supply retailers. Since you are in Sili Valley, you shouldn't have any trouble there!!! Also, maybe try Fry's, though in my mind their supply of anything usable or quality has gone downhill badly in the last few years.

The best stuff is by a brand called NTB (I think) and if you are doing stuff outide of the cab, look for something called Polyolefin with adhesive, which is some damn good solid stuff, that will seal around stuff and weather proof (ok, maybe weather resist). The best way to buy it is in the 3 foot lengths, instead of the cut into pieces kits.

Not to seam too picky, but the Radio Shack stuff is crap and so is most automotive store stuff. You will know the difference the first time you shrink the good stuff.

Re: Heat Shrink Setups

3M make just about the best stuff out there.
As suggested, find an electronics dealer/store...NOT Radio Shack!
Yor #ss won't feel as sore if you buy it from a electronics dealer.

Re: Heat Shrink Setups

If I were looking I would go to the nearest Electrical supply house, better products, better pricing, and somebody you can talk with and get what you NEED not what they want you to buy. Just my .02

PartsExpress.com
They are an electronics parts dealer. Sell it in 3-foot lengths (but so do most 'true' electronics stores)
